Calling all photographers!
YellowKorner Cambridge launches new Cityscape competition
YellowKorner Cambridge and Anglia Ruskin University (ARU) are calling on budding photographers to submit their work for a new Cityscape competition, launched today!
Specialists in limited edition art photography, YellowKorner Cambridge has teamed up with ARU’s Cambridge School of Art to celebrate ‘alternative Cambridge’. The new competition invites photographers of all abilities to create an original piece of photography for the chance of winning a prize and having their work offered in YellowKorner galleries worldwide.*
There are many sights across the city that are synonymous with Cambridge – from the stunning world-famous architecture to the chauffeured punts gliding along the River Cam. However, YellowKorner Cambridge and Cambridge School of Art are encouraging photographers to discover new parts of the city or to photograph these renowned sights from a different perspective.
Gallery Director, Glen Smith, said: “Cambridge is a vibrant city with a cultural scene that embraces visual art. Together with Cambridge School of Art we hope to encourage local talent and highlight new artistic views of the city.”
Part of the university’s Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences Faculty, Cambridge School of Art brings together the creative traditions of the past with the possibilities that are enabled by the latest technologies. Head of the School Joe McCullagh told us: “This is a great opportunity to celebrate our talented students and alumni and inspire the region’s young people to be the creators of the future.”
Eligible entries will be showcased on YellowKorner Cambridge’s social media platform and reviewed by a panel of judges based on a truly artistic approach, impact, creativity and style, lighting and colour balance.
