Cambridge City Council is launching an exciting and ambitious new digital project the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Region of Learning and are looking for a Digital Development and Technology Officer to support its delivery. This is a new role within the Council with the potential to shape a ground-breaking programme that will make a positive difference to young people, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds, through digital badging and pathways.
We are looking for someone who has strong social values with a passion for developing digital tools and innovative use of existing technologies, to provide support on the development, design, testing, and implementation of a digital platform that is part of the Cities of Learning network.
You will have up-to-date knowledge of mobile app/web development and user-centric solutions which end users find simple and intuitive to use. You will be able to communicate technical information to a non-tech audience, and be able to review and influence the designs, standards and technologies by liaising with delivery partners, suppliers and other interested parties.

The role has a salary of £30,451 pa, pro rata for part-time (18.5 hours pw) and is a fixed term position for 21 months.
