In today’s #Classof2016 graduation ceremony, we honour Dr Jonathan Sackier and Ted Gagliano. Congratulations on your honorary degrees! Dr Jonathan Sackier, Chief Medical Officer of Helius Medical Technologies, and Visiting Professor of Surgery at Oxford University’s Nuffield Department of Surgical Sciences, is perhaps most widely recognised for performing the world’s first laparoscopic cholecystectomy using robotic assistance. Find out more about Dr. Sackier: arul.ink/jonathansackier Ted Gagliano is a technology innovator, philanthropist, and President of Feature Post-Production at Hollywood film maker Twentieth Century Fox. As well as overseeing post-production on around 500 films, in 2008 Ted became co-founder of Implicitcare - a medical device company responsible for creating systems like iGuide, which aids in the placement of suture support systems in cosmetic surgery. He has been working closely with Anglia Ruskin’s Professor Jim Frame ( arul.ink/aestheticsurgery) on the use of the system within clinical environments. He's received the award of Doctor of Science.
