During Dementia Awareness Week, we focus on #OurPeople who are leading research into dementia and adult mental health issues: Professor Helen Odell-Miller is Professor of Music Therapy and Director of the Music for Health Research Centre. Having worked since 1976 in the NHS as a music therapist, Prof Odell-Miller pioneered music therapy in the mental health field. Throughout her career Professor Odell-Miller has made valuable contributions to a variety of national strategies, and held many roles such as Advisor to the Department of Health.
