This is what our #ARUproud moments are all about - our students succeeding and making a difference in the world. One of our Child Nursing BSc students, Rebecca Barwick, has made a significant impact on Sophie, a patient at The Princess Alexandra Hospital, Harlow. Sophie told us: “I have been staying at Harlow hospital for a while now. Since my stay at hospital I have been looked after by one of your student nurses, Rebecca Barwick. I would just like to tell you how lovely and amazing she has been to me during this hard time. I've had to take lots of different medication I really didn't want to take; Becky had faith in me and told me I could do it. Due to the encouragement and belief Becky had in me I managed to drink all 4 litres of my medicine. She has been ever so kind to me and I can't thank her enough for helping me through this tough time. Seeing her happy and friendly face everyday really did lift my spirits. I'm glad I put all my trust in her, because if it weren't for her, I don't think I would have taken my medication and started to feel better. She truly is a credit to the nursing industry.” Well done, Becky - you’ll be a fantastic nurse and are a credit to our Anglia Ruskin University - Faculty of Health, Social Care & Education! anglia.ac.uk/health-social-care-and-education
