“The Big Pitch has given me more than I ever thought it could. The mentoring and effort that this competition provides to students to help them to succeed is amazing. This has been one of the best experiences in my life. I’m really excited about where this is going to take me,” Lucy, winner of The Big Pitch 2016 We couldn’t be any more #ARUproud of the winning students of The Big Pitch! The first prize of £10,000 went to Forgotten Spaces, Lost Faces by Lucy Tushingham, a 3rd year Interior Design students in ALSS, Cambridge who designed an emergency flexible accommodation system. Lucy also won the £3,000 prize awarded by Provide for an innovative solution to a social need. Second prize of £5,000 went to Carebind, a software solution for carers by Ryan Seymore and Billy Hadlow, Computer Science students from King's Lynn and the third prize of £3,000 went to Literally Wonderland, a pop up themed cafe with immersive theatrical performances by Connie Dent, an illustration students at ALSS, Cambridge. A huge congratulations and well done!
