On International Midwife Day we want to celebrate #OurPeople leading on the education of a new generation of midwives: Fran Galloway is a Senior Lecturer in Midwifery within the Faculty of Health, Social Care & Education.
Fran has been a practising Midwife since 1981 and as such has witnessed huge changes within midwifery, healthcare provision and the NHS.
Fran has always enjoyed facilitating parent education and mentoring student midwives. This interest led her to move into midwifery education in 2005. As a midwifery educator, she's committed to ensuring that midwifery students receive a high standard of education both within the University and placement environment, and so provide exceptional care to women and their families.
