#ARUready tip #9: Get to know your university and take the time to learn where everything is on campus! We hope you’ll have a lot of fun on campus once you arrive, so it’s worth your time to find where things are. Try to locate where your faculty is, the main library, where the various computer rooms and where any faculty specific rooms like labs or workshop are. That way you won’t get lost when you need to get somewhere in a hurry! Other useful places to discover include: • The iCentre, which will help you deal with registration issues, ID cards and importantly is also where you will hand in your work and get your results! • The Students’ Union office, where you can get independent help and advice, as well as access to all the exciting societies and sport clubs the union supports. • The Employment Bureau, where you can find job opportunities as well as advice and workshops for brushing up your CV and preparing for interviews. • Student Services, which offers a fantastic range of services, from how to budget, study skills, international student support and information about religious groups. So get out there and discover what the university has to offer you.
