Mentoring at ARU is back

Mentoring at ARU is back! This October sees the launch of the third cycle of our popular Mentoring at ARU programme which creates 1-2-1 partnerships between students and volunteer mentors. The mentors are professionals who are working in their chosen industries, with experience to share with ARU students.

Past connections between students and their mentors have given fantastic results such as productive new professional relationships, increased networks, improved CVs, interview coaching and improved confidence for student mentees as they work through the programme.

So how can you get involved? Mentoring at ARU is open to all students on our Cambridge, Chelmsford and Peterborough campuses. AHSS students are encouraged to apply! AHSS Student Dominika Pawlik, Second Year, BA (Hons) TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages), shared her experience:

“My mentor was fantastic! I am so glad I joined this programme, and I will recommend it to everyone I know! My mentor gave me many techniques to aid in my self-reflection and teaching in the future. My ambitions haven’t changed, but I now have more confidence to achieve those goals.” – Dominika Pawlik
