Congratulations to laura__winstone for her recent QEST Scholarship. Laura is a collage artist and a high school Art and Textiles teacher with a love of children’s books. Following her dreams she enrolled on the prestigious Masters course angliaruskin for Children's Book Illustration. Her work explores themes that celebrate our culture, local environments and nature. She also investigates wider topics such as exclusivity and environmental issues. With QEST funding she will complete the final year of her Masters producing at least two ‘dummy’ books to showcase at the end of year exhibition. She hopes to create inspiring and engaging illustrations that will attract freelance work, a publisher or agent. Her Scholarship will also enable her to exhibit at the Bologna Children’s Book Fair, in order to gain exposure to the world’s industry professionals. _______________ #qest #qestscholar #illustration #collage #collageart #artandtextiles #mixedmedia #childrensbookillustration #bookillustration #childrensbooks #craftfunding #artfunding #careersinart #craftcareers #art #artist #design #creativity
