New Chapter! I'm excited to be starting a part-time MA next week in Children's Book illustration at Cambridge School of Art angliaruskin After a few years break looking after my son I'm hoping to re focus on my illustration work and get my picture book ideas out of my sketchbooks! I illustrated this cookbook for storeypub a while back, funny how the baby I drew looks a lot like my son when he was a baby, he's a pasta fan too! Wish me luck ✏️🎨🖌️🖍️#illustrator #moiramillman #childrensillustrations #kidlitart #storeypublishing #brushpen #lineart #sketchbook #sketch #illustration #drawing #sketches #cookbookillustration #artwork

What is you favourite place to visit in London? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Whilst in London mine was the vamuseum. There was so much to see and to be inspired by. I love the Lakes but it can feel a bit remote from the rest of the world. 🌎 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The V&A Student of the Year Awards was inspiring. I love illustration and I have always wanted to be an illustrator. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Sophie Burrows from Anglia Ruskin University angliaruskin_su won the V&A Student of the Year Awards with her artwork entitled Crushing which tells the story of a women negotiating life in London. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ** ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Excerpt from V&A ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ This tender, wordless graphic novel explores feelings of loneliness and the expectations and misunderstanding that arise in crowded places. The reader is guided through the story by subtle interactions and stolen glances between individuals, each informed by observational sketches that Burrows capture in London. . . .
